How to Print a Recipe

Need a paper copy of your recipe for the kitchen? Recipio lets you download a clean, beautifully formatted PDF of any saved recipe that's perfect for printing.

🚀 Quick Start

  1. Open any recipe: Navigate to the recipe you want to print
  2. Click "Print Recipe": Look for the printer icon button near the top of the page
  3. Download the PDF: A cleanly formatted PDF will download to your device
  4. Print it: Open the PDF and print from your computer or phone

📄 What's Included in the PDF

✨ Your printed recipe includes:

  • Recipe title
  • Prep time, cook time, and servings (when available)
  • AI-generated recipe summary
  • Complete ingredient list with quantities and preparation notes
  • Step-by-step cooking instructions
  • Recipe tags for easy reference

📱 Finding the Print Button

The "Print Recipe" button is located in the recipe header area:

On Desktop:

  • • Look for the button in the top-right area of the recipe
  • • It shows a printer icon with "Print Recipe" text
  • • Click it to instantly download the PDF

On Mobile:

  • • The button shows a printer icon with "Print"
  • • Tap to download the PDF to your device
  • • Open with your PDF viewer to print

📐 Paper Size

PDFs are formatted for standard US Letter size paper (8.5" × 11"). Most recipes fit on 1-2 pages.

🎨 Black & White Friendly

The PDF is designed to look great even when printed in black and white, saving you ink!

📁 Save for Later

Keep the PDF on your device or in cloud storage for offline access to your favorite recipes.

🔧 Troubleshooting

PDF won't download?

  • Check your browser: Make sure pop-ups aren't blocked for Recipio
  • Try a different browser: Some browsers handle downloads differently
  • Check Downloads folder: The file may have downloaded to your default location

Missing content in PDF?

  • Make sure the recipe has finished processing (AI may still be working on new recipes)
  • Check that ingredients and instructions are saved in the recipe
  • Try refreshing the page and downloading again
